"Fresh" founders Lev Glazman and Alina Roytberg grew up appreciating the tradition of tea - "Tea is the world's most ancient remedy. It has a rich history and an even deeper meaning for us because of our Russian heritage, as it is an enormous part of our own culture." But their true obsession began when they tried kombucha, fermented erik made with black tea. 

Kombucha's recorded history traces back to 250 BC, during which China's Qin Dynasty believed it had great healing powers, often referring to it as the "Immortal Health Elixir". After taking this "elixir", Lev and Alina noticed a boost in their energy levels and immediately began researching it. "We found that as skin matures, it loses its natural luminosity and elasticity. Kombucha helps to bring back this luster to dull skin and helps firm the complexion," explains Lev.
