The EU Ban on animal testing was just implemented last 11 March. This is after The Body Shop 20 years of campaigning with NGO partner Cruelty-free International. This means that any new products that is imported or made in Europe are not supposed to have even the ingredients tested on animals. But this is just a small milestone for us. We are now moving to something bigger – calling for a global ban!
We have got some of Singapore’s personalities who also support this cause to put together a short video message: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=es8A5Mc2-Ow Will be great if you can share them with your readers.
Meanwhile, do sign the pledge, and get your clients, family and friends to do so too, in any of The Body Shop stores or online: www.crueltyinternational.org/globalpledge
In fact, The Body Shop has pledged to clean up an animal shelter when we have 10,000 pledges garnered locally.
