Hi Cammi

Infact I personally quite like MAC's concealer,in terms of "cakeyness" maybe what u can do is to apply a makeup base before the concealer! This will help to reduce the "cakey" problem.Cle de peau concealer also quite good but only come in 3 colours,Shu Uemura also have good concealer!
As for makeup base I prefer most of the Japanese brand..e.g.Shiseido,Kose,Kanebo etc.But u must make sure to choose the right makeup base to suit yr skin type(oily or dry skin). Most of the makeup base come in neutral pinky color or cream color.

Hi Andy,

Thanks for your info, but may I noe makeup base is it foundation, now I used this Biotherm Matte Squffle Foundation b4 my concealer and tat all, no lose powder after tat, can?

Makeup base is not foundation,is a pre makeup emulsion/cream that help to moisturize, smooth out fine lines, minimise appearance of open pore & some makeup base even help to make the skin look a little bit more radiance & come with SPF.Hence u may ask if makeup base is so good than why have to use foundation?? As makeup base don't give good coverage like foundation! So is good to use makeup base before foundation. If u've good skin but just want yr face to look a bit better than no makeup than u can just apply makeup base follow by loose powder will do.
If u r using Biotherm Matte Squffle Foundation, whether with or without lose powder all depend on how yr skin feel?? There's no fix rule about it as long as it doesn't look "cakey" & over done!

hi Andy,

i have a few question to be posted. Firstly, the MAC concealer you mention is the liquid type in a tube or the cream type in pot? i have pretty dark dark circle, and some fine lines under the eyes, can you reccommend me a concealer that can cover well and at the same time not too drying?

secondly, my skin belongs to combination type, i have oily t-zone, both sides of the cheeks are fine and i'm looking for a foundation that can give me a radiant-smooth finish look.. coverage about medium. currently i'm using maybeline clear smooth aqua oil free. i find that it is quite hard to spread it, can you recommend me a good foundation that can make my skin look radiant? any brand that is below $80.

lastly, i would like to acheive a smoother, radiant, translucent skin. i'm now taking meiji amino collagen powder.. wonder if it is better than fancl tense up EX? i'm considering to switch to fancl if it is more effective. what do you think Andy? or is there any other products that will help? By the way, i am 22 this year.

hope you can provide me guidance on the above queries. sorry for the trouble.

Hi Charmaine
MAC liquid type concealer will be better for yr dry under eye area as it does help to cover dark circle yet not too dry but then it also depend on how much u apply. Can try applying the makeup base first as I've reply to Ms Cammi before.
You can try Ettusais or Clarins foundation for combination skin like yrs.
I've not tried any beauty suppliment so far.. Sorry can't help you on this!In fact is good to drink more water, take more vegetable & fruits. Try to avoid late nights & smoking. Another good way to acheive a smoother, radiant, translucent skin is to use moisturizing sheet mask at least once a week. Especially those with "Hyaluronic acid" which helps to keep yr skin moisture,Vitamin C for clarifying. Finally don't forget to apply sunblock & proper cleansing daily!!!

Hi Pat

Thank you for viewing my blog!
If yr skin is very dry you can try applying makeup base first before any of yr foundation/pressed powder. As I've mention to Ms Cammi about those makeup base from most of the japanese brands r quite good for different skin type.
