Hi andy,
this is such a great blog!! I should have visited this blog long time ago (i only discovered it today through fm1003).
Do you have any exfoliating gel that you can recommend? Currently, i'm using envie de neuf's (bought it in taiwan). It is going to finish soon and since i can't get this brand in singapore, do you have any recommendations? Thanks!!! =D

Hi Andy.

I am 35. I have oily skin since young.

Problem 1: My skin is oily especially in morning and when hot.But sometimes will get dry and itchy (sometimes only, I dont' know under what circumstances).

Problem 2: But don't know why now my 粉刺is a lot more than in the past especially in the nose area and chin. Now getting more and more 粉刺and a little dead skin on my cheek area.(the area below eye but near nose).

When I can't stand them (very rough), I will use a "plucker" to pluck the 粉刺 and dead skin (will have smoother skin but very soon will have same problem). I use 磨砂foam before but also no use. Last time I went for facial before (many many yrs ago) and the beautician told me can use 2 fingers to rub around the nose to get rid of the粉刺 and since then I have the habit. Is it right?

Problem 3: recent 1 yr, don't know why will leave black/dark brown "mole" after my acnes "burst" (last time same but no "mole", now always will leave "mole")

Problem 4: I have bigger pores now. My skin is sensitive and oily. I used toner before but can't solve. What product can I use to reduce pores?

Hope you can advise and teach me how to solve the problems. Pls save me! Thanks Andy!

Hi Mong Ling

For exfoliating maybe you can try Kose Seikisho exfloliating massage gel. I found it quite good.

Hi Irene

Look like you've oily/combination skin, sometime the itchness can be cause by stress or impurities/dust/dirt. Maybe the best way is to look for a skin doctor to check about it?
New skin is reborn daily. But this reincarnation of the skin and cause of age and lifestyle (turnover) and decline in function, the dullness will help to surface problems, and darkening of the skin and opens pore of surface roughness.Hence skin docotr may introduce you some products that's with glycolic acid which will help to improve your skin's texture, but you only can get them from doctors in Singapore as they'll know what's the % is suitable for your skin that won't be over harmful.

Thank you but do you have any toner product that will be suitable for me to reduce the pores? Btw, can toner reduce oilness (or does smaller pore will produce less oil?)

I saw skin doc and ate a very "powerful" medicine(if pregnant can't eat) and is gd but when stop, problem returns. Also see another doc, apply cream and the skin will keep peeling (alot)and is scary.I got continue but later also no effect. So now I only thought of using mkt pdt (toner, cleaner) but don't know what brand is suitable.

Also is there any way to prevent my acne "burst" and become "mole"?

Hi irene

I've heard about that medicine that your doctor have prescribed, agree with you that maybe a bit strong & have side effects as well.
There's really don't have any cosmetics/beauty skin care products will help your problem at this point. Maybe you should ask from the skin doctor for another medicated gel name "Diffirin"(hope I got the spelling right!), This clear gel is much mild & can be apply day & night which will helps to soften the dead skin & reduce the appearance of large open pores.
As for the acne become mole - I think is the left over scars mark with impurities inside! You can ask doctor for "Retin A" cream as it will help, but remember to avoid sun if you're going to use all this medicated gel/cream. UV protection is a must!!!

HI Andy, i'm sure you've heard of the cosmetic/skincare brand IZU. WHat's your opinion on it? I'm keen on the enhancing moisturizer (was told it makes a good make-up base) and the clarity control. Do you have any feedback? By the way, where is IZU originated? Singapore? Italy? I can't seem to find any info on it. Can you advise? Thanks.

Hi Cheryl

Yes I did heard about IZU but have only try out their loose powder which I find is quite good.Have not tried any other products from them yet, also have no idea where are they from? Maybe you can check with their sales person at TRUE COLOR-Ngee Ann City.

For izu, most of their products are made in italy and also in usa. I was given some of their products to try and they were pretty okay.
